Currently, we are able to offer Home Try-on Service to our customers within the contiguous Australia and New Zealand. However, we can offer dress fabric samples and swatches to our international bride friends simply due to high international shipping costs. Please email us and let’s see if we can work something out.
Unlike brick-and-mortar dress shops, we want to be totally up-front with what things cost. To allow us to offer our convenient at-home experience, we charge $35 sample fee per wedding dress, $25 per bridesmaid dress (including disinfect handling fee and standard postage to you), and a guarantee deposit $300 per wedding dress, $100 per bridesmaid dress. If you fall in love with our dresses and decide to live happily ever after with it, we’ll credit all Home Try-on costs! Which makes your try-on free.
So to sum it up for wedding dress:
$35 (per sample)
$300 guarantee (per sample)
=$335 for 1 sample, $670 for 2 samples, $1005 for 3 samples
For bridesmaid dress,
$25 (per sample)
$100 guarantee (per sample)
=$125 for 1 sample, $250 for 2 samples, $375 for 3 samples

Ship back your dresses after 3 days. If the 3rd day is a Sunday or holiday, drop it off the day after. We strive to give you timely updates on the status of your delivery + you can track your shipment via AU Post so that you can know ahead of time when to expect it. If you need them a bit longer for some reason, talk to us and we'll try our best to accomodate!
If we don't hear from you and seven days go by after your Try-on Box was delivered, we’ll assume you're keeping the samples and charge you the full price of the gown(s).
We know firsthand that planning a wedding is like herding cats. If you need a little more time, email us at email@example.com to give us a heads up. We can work something out.
Everything you need to return your dress samples comes in your Try-on Box. Package up the gowns securely in their original packaging (with all tags attached), affix the return label, and mail back with AU Post. We’ll email you if there are any problems with your sample return; if you don't get an email from us, you can assume that your samples are safe and sound!
Nope! Your Try-on Box cost includes free shipping, both ways.
Our samples are designed to give you an idea of style and silhouette, of tactile fabrics and gorgeous finishes, not to establish a perfect fit right off the bat. As we grow, we’d love to offer more sample sizes, but for now this range is what we're able to offer.
Help us help you. As long as your samples are returned with all tags attached, in the condition you received them, we're all good.
Unfortunately, if samples come back with any new damage, stains, or signs of wear beyond trying on indoors, fees do indeed apply. We hate hidden fees as much as the next person, so here they are:
Major stains: $75 cleaning fee
Zipper damage: $60 repair fee
Other rips/tears: $80+ repair fee
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to talk about extending your time with your samples - we're flexible! If we don't hear from you, after 7 days from delivery of your Try-on Box we'll assume you're keeping the dresses.
If the dress is damaged beyond repair, we will have to charge you for the full price of the gown. We hate to go there, so kindly treat the samples with some TLC and return them on time. Any questions? Email email@example.com if you have any doubts.
We know. Waiting for your dress is like the day before summer break. Can’t. Get. Here. Fast. Enough. Once your order is placed, we'll send you a confirmation email with a link to your order status, which will update with a tracking number once we ship your gowns. If you’re anything like us, you’ll also want some real-time updates. We offer SMS text updates as well as email updates once your package is shipped with updates when your Try-on Box is out for delivery and delivered.
We strive to ship samples promptly, but keep an eye on your tracking number to see when it is expected to arrive!
Though we applaud your gusto (and thanks for asking): NOPE. Sample tags must all remain attached. And we think it would look pretty strange walking down the aisle with tags attached, don't you?

All of our gowns are made to order, which means we can offer customization options at checkout - just like at fancy schmancy boutiques (except without the sales pitch). Want anything different or have something else in mind? Just ask us! Our dressmakers will work with you to make it happen.
Each style offers some standard customizations that we think are well suited to each silhouette. Think: train length, sleeve length, monogramming (!). Looking for something different, that isn't offered? Get in touch!
We didn’t know this until we tried on our own wedding dresses, but “Bridal Sizing” is a strange sizing convention that is usually two sizes off from standard sizing - and in the wrong direction might we add! A “Bridal” 12 is actually closer to a size 8 or 10 in standard sizing (what?!). We don’t know why this wedding industry concept persists, but our dresses are sized standard comparable to contemporary lines because that just makes sense! So order the size you normally buy in regular clothing.
If you ordered your Try-on Box, we included a tape measure so you can measure yourself to a tee.
While we will make your order according to the measurements provided, it is only basic custom sizing. Every body is different and your dress may need some tweaking in alterations to fit you like a glove. We recommend getting in touch with an experienced bridal seamstress in your area, or, place an alteration service order with us.
We inspect all merchandise before shipment to ensure the right item is sent with no defects. Upon receipt of your items please inspect it immediately and contact us with any issues at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please let us know within 7 days of receipt for any defective items.
Unfortunately, since all gracepleats gowns are custom-made to order, final gowns, once purchased, cannot be returned. If you need to make any changes to your order, email us ASAP so we can modify or cancel your order before our artisans get to work. If your final gown arrives with any issues (damaged or not what you ordered) get in touch with us ASAP so we can to make it right: email@example.com.
